PO-EUN is the pseudonym of a loyal subject to the king, Chong Mong-Chu (15th Century) who was a famous poet. His poem "I would not serve a second master though I might be crucified a hundred times" is known to every Korean.

He was also a pioneer in the field of physics. The diagram of this hyung represents his loyalty to king and country towards the end of the Koryo Dynasty.

Po eun is the eleventh of 24 International Taekwondo Federation hyungs and contains 36 movements.
